AOS Staffing is looking for a Patient Service Representative. This person will work to support the daily administration needs of the hospital.
The Medical Office Authorization & Scheduling Specialist is responsible for supporting a multi-provider medical practice by managing prior authorizations, referrals, scheduling, and high-volume patient communications. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, insurance companies, and internal staff to ensure timely access to care, accurate documentation, and efficient daily operations. The position supports a 12-provider practice specializing in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
Pay: $17-20 based on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 pm
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of medical office workflows and insurance processes.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers, staff, and external partners.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred experience with Epic EMR; candidates with experience using other EMR systems will be considered.
- Experience with prior authorizations and insurance verification required.
- Minimum of 6–12 months of experience in a call center or high-volume phone environment, preferably within a healthcare setting.
